Alright all you faithful readers. This has been fun, but I'm done. Time to focus on bigger and better things like getting my website up and running. (http://rescufilm.com/Home.html) And solving the time-space continuum. I love you all.

Friend of Mine
A Happy Monday to all and to all a Happy Monday.
I am "working" on my Argentine Cinema paper as we speak. Let me tell you, it's scintillating. Only 17 more days here in Buenos Aires, and while I have enjoyed my stay, I'm ready to come back to the US of A, especially the C of NY. I miss my family and friends, and Jill. I miss buffalo wings, and sushi. I miss watching basketball in the privacy of my own home, and not next to some mouth breather in a Paul Pierce jersey. I miss proper internet connection, and my dog Chester. I miss skateboarding--I was getting good. I miss...YOU! Alright, I miss you. If that's wrong, I don't want to be right. Phew. Glad I got that all off of my chest. Let's commence...
Here's a shameless plug for a music video I directed this winter for my friend Jojo. She is extremely talented and awesome, so even if I hadn't done the video, I'd be recommending you listen to her music.
Here's the video:
I Want to Write a Love Song
Here's a Cat Power cover that's really great. I hope that Jojo will cover it one day and I can put it in a movie.
Here's Jojo's, excuse me, Johanna's myspace where you can find more of her tunes.

Peace out Freaks.

Easy Like Sunday Morning
Last night I went for dinner with the rest of my spanish class at our professor Susana Benedek's home. One of the highlights was her husband playing eerily accurate renditions of Bob Dylan covers. He also played a little Johnny Cash, Karl Perkins, etc. I should've had my camera with me, I know, I'm sorry.
Here's a song by Johnny Cash that he played. One of my favorites that I hadn't heard in too long. It was actually written by Shel Silverstein, so if that's not a cool enough combo right there, I dunno what to tell you.
Also, here's the sequel, performed by Shel Silverstein, which is weird, to say the least.
Enjoy!

Long time no see
Alright, alright, alright.... I know. I haven't posted on this in a looooooooong time.
But I'm back with some free time though, and some solid internet connection and I'm ready.
I've got a couple things I want to share.
1) If you haven't heard this song, or you haven't listened to it in a while, you need to. The video is tight too.
2) I watched Michael Clayton a week or two ago. Really good. I mean, reeeaaallly good. Tom Wilkinson's performance in it was legendary.
3) I'm in the middle of reading 'Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World'. Pretty weird so far, but I'm enjoying it. The author is Haruki Murakami. If you need a good read, check out his book, 'Norwegian Wood'.
Ok. Back to writing my final paper for Argentine Cinema. Hopefully someone looks at this, and if you do, I hope you enjoy.
See you soon,
Ben

Ben Recommends
SO
I just finished The Road by Cormac Mccarthy. It was excellent. I had a little trouble getting into it initially because of the pace, but once I hit page 60, I was flying. I am really looking forward to the movie. The director, John Hillcoat, is a favorite, and Viggo Mortensen is obviously a crazy man in the best way possible.
After I finished the book, I still didn't want to put it down. I had a physical attachment to it. It felt like we'd grown together. When I originally got the book, it was crisp and new, and now only a few weeks later, a page was falling out, the corners were bent, the book had softened, etc...
I feel like this is getting personal.
Anyways, this isn't Buenos Aires related, except for the fact that I finished it on my trip to Punta del Este in Uruguay, which is near Buenos Aires.
Pictures from the beach to come. For now, here is a video I deem appropriate for this post.

Todo Bien
Hola amigos,
So, I pulled my first all nighter in Buenos Aires. It was a good one. The night started off with some bomb Vietnamese food made at this restaurant, "Vietnam", where the wives at the Vietnam embassy make the food, or something like that.
From there, friends and I went to a party at an apartment and kept it going until the crack of dawn, which turned out to be later than we thought. The ability to put on some American music kept us/me going. Just wanted to report on this momentous occasion.
Above is a picture of me and my buddy, Mike, dancing.

Hola amigos
Hey everyone, hope all is well. I'm finally writing my first blog post. Things are going well here.
The food is cheap and delicious, the women are beautiful and abundant and the sun shines all day.
The steak is worthy of all the hype. I've had easily the best steak of my life multiple times here, all for under $12 US.
I have to admit though, that I am getting a little bit sick of it. It's so good and so cheap, I feel obligated to eat it at every meal. I now weigh 450 pounds.
Also, I am growing a mustache, you can't tell in this picture, but I will post a picture soon that displays it in its true glory. It's a grueling process, but I am committed to keeping it for as long as possible, or until Jill comes to visit and attacks me with a razor.
More blog posts to come once I get my friends to put their pictures up, and I upload some of the videos I've been taking.
Stay tuned...
